Does it matter what version of python i use for this course?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it does, as the code is not totally compatible with 3.0 I believe 2.5 is recommended. But I use 2.7 without problems. So 2.6-2.7 should be fine.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

If you know all the differences between the 2.x and 3.x Pythons, it would not matter because you could adjust for the newer version. For most people, it is simpler to get the latest 2.x line and use it.

I am taking the course, use 2.7. Some important code examples will fail if you try to compile using python 3
