Solve the system of equations 5x-2y=18 3x+3y=15 1,4 -1,4 -4,1 4,1

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

One easy way to find the solution is to plug in each choice and see which one makes both equations true. To actually solve the system, I suggest you start by dividing the second equation by 3 and then multiplying it by 2. Then add it to the first equation. That will eliminate y, and you can solve for x.
