Dehydration of alcohols
CH3-CH2-CH(CH3)-CH2OH gives CH3-CH2=C(CH3)-CH3 and CH3-CH2-C(CH3)=CH2

Could anybody explain why and which one is the major product

The one that gives the more stable product is the one that is the major.
