Would someone mind reading my paragraph on how a law is passed and tell me if anything could be taken out to make it shorter? A bill is introduced in either the house or the senate. The bill goes into review in subcommittees from both branches and that is where all the change happens. Then the bill goes to a full committee. The full committee might edit the bill more before taking a vote. If the bill passes it will go to the whole House or Senate for debate. The House Rules Committee will then set rules for the debate. Nothing happens in the senate at this step. Both houses debate then com
