i need help with Lesson 11: Emergence of the Modern United States Portfolio . please someone help me (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not a question its a portfolio assignment, i have to write a dialogue between two people that have different views on imperialism from the 1890-1920 . and im stuck .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you have so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Theodore Roosevelt and susan b anthony , and i got the definition of imperialism but i need to figure out the views and the the countries that the United States occupied or acquired the reasons some Americans supported imperialism the reasons other Americans opposed imperialism

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So imperialism is when you colonize a weaker nation, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or historical - rule by an emperor.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry that took so long I looked at some of my old notes. Okay so the idea of doing that to a country that was weaker than America didn't really sound like a good idea to people because when america succeeded from G.B the same thing kind of happened to them. People who were pro expanding wanted the US to be really powerful

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so basically i can just put the facts into dialogue , but i have to fnd there points of views . right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well that's not too hard. If some one if=s pro expansion only give the goods reasons why expanding in other nations would be good for the nations. Also these guys were public figures so if you do a little research it shouldn't be hard to find out their point of views
