negative six x is less than fifty-four -6x < 54 now we need to get x by itself, so we divide both sides by -6 to get rid of the -6 that is with the x. -6x/-6 < 54/-6 but remember, any time we divide or times by a negative number we flip the sign of the inequality -6x/-6 > 54/-6 x > 54/-6

so x < -9

??

*check back at my steps, and you will see I already flipped the sign of the inequality ^_^ x > 54/-6 x > -9
