I believe the correct answer is C. Any change in an organism would be an adaptation, and it's obviously not B. A mutation could benefit or hurt an organism, so it's not D. It's C.

The redundancy of the genetic code means that organisms have multiple copies of their genetic codes. So basically, it's like backing up your computer. If something goes wrong and your computer does not work, you still have the information. It's like a safety net because if something were to happen to the original genetic code, there are backups of the information. Hope that helps :)
