why did some colonists believe the stamp act was unfair?

OpenStudy (rina.r):

As we know it, the colonists believed in taxation without representation and they thought the British were not letting them voice their opinions in Parliament. The stamp act was the most hated because they taxed all papers that were published and the tea act even if it was cheaper to get, they still thought they were being taxed without a representation from the colonies. Many conflicts arose because of that such as the Boston Tea Party where the colonists dressed as native americans and threw the tea down the harbor.
