so if i have this equation -3n= 12 i know that u have to divide the -3n part by 3 but is it negative three or postive three?

negative 3, the only time it will change from negative to positive/ vise versa/ is if your adding or subtracting

so i do -3n divided by -3 and 12 divided by -3?
