So it would be If the sum of the angles of a triangle, then it equals 180 degrees ?

Are you sure your original statement is correct as written? Something about it seems odd.

That's what I thought too, but the teacher doesn't seem to think so.

It has to be able to be written as an if...then statement that makes sense.
