Describe the ADP molecule and its function within a cell? Can you tell me in a unscientific way to make it more easier for me to understand?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Well, basically ADP, or adenosine \(di\)phosphate, is a product, release of energy, from ATP, otherwise known as adenosine \(tri\)phosphate. the bonds that hold those phosphate s togetehr contain varying amounts of energy. when you break them, they release the energy needed for some particular biochemical process. Essentually, the molecule becomes ATP again at some point during ATP synthesis. For a more detailed explanation of how ATP and ADP occur in a biochemical process is during \(cellular~respiration\). A good amount of ATP is there.
