Alright so with powers...all those really say is 2^3 means you take 2...and multiply it by itself 3 times...so 2 * 2 * 2 = ? and 5^2 is the same...you take 5...and multiply it by itself 2 times...so 5 * 5 = ? and then add you results...what do you get?

Right...and now just add them since this is 2^3 + 5^2 ...so 8 + 25 = ?
