4f - > 8 5
What is your question?
solve for the inequality? \[\frac{ 4f }{ 5 }>8\]
solving for the inequality
multiply the inequality by 5
similar in manipulating algebraic expressions... multiply both sides by 5.... revert the sign of inequality divide both sides by 4.... revert the sign of inequality result is the inequality for variable f...
can you guys show me step by step?
you want to take this Orion, or you want me to ?
you can take it... :)
lets see what calculusxy says
thanks kelliegirl ^
What this inequality is that you are basically solving for f. This is the same thing as to saying 4f -- = 8 5
I don't like to take over a problem unless I have to
Now you can take over @kelliegirl33
well thanks for your time anyways
4f/5 > 8 (we need to multiply the entire equation by 5 to get rid of the fraction... (5)4f/5 > (5)8 can you solve from here or you need more help ?
I will be here :)
Will be right back..
(5)4f/5 > (5)8 4f > 40 (the 5's cancel out on the left side) now we divide by 4 to get x by itself 4f/4 > 40 f > 40/4 f > 10 any questions ?
oops...to get f by itself
no i understand, thank you for the explaination kellie much appreciated
glad to help :)
