inverse variation question- when david drvies to melissas college to visit her,his travel time varies inversely as his speed. If he drives at 60 miles per hour, he arrives in 2.5 hours. How many minutes would he save if he traveled on the highway at 70 miles per hour?

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

determine the distance covered in 2.5 hours when the speed is at 60 miles an hour then try to figure out how many hours it will take for that distance to cover when the speed is at 70 miles an hour

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

or you can just do 60/2.5 = 70/x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if we let time as t and speed as s, the equation will be \[t=\frac{ k }{ s }\] where k is the constant of proportionality...

i think @nincompoop can further assist you... :)
