OpenStudy (jmark):

Which of the following must be true about the mean and median of 101 consecutive integers? A. The mean is less than the median. B. The mean is greater than the median. C. The mean is equal to the median. D. There is not enough information to determine the relationship between the mean and the median.

OpenStudy (rane):

D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c) The mean is equal to the median.

OpenStudy (rane):

its hard to confirm since we dont have anyother data given as well as range isnt given either

OpenStudy (kenljw):

The median will be the 51st number, 50 below and 50 above The sum of the first n numbers is n(n+1)/2 therefore its mean is (n+1)/2 if n = 101 then the mean is 51 The question is what would it be if you don't start with 1
