Was working on it but it disappeared?

OpenStudy (ranga):

Assume there were R original Residents And C dollars was the original Cost per resident. R * C = 1.2 x 10^6 ----- (1) Cost per resident increased by 3. New cost is (C + 3) 225 fewer residents implies (R - 225) is the new number of residents. (C+3) * (R - 225) = 1.2 x 10^6 ----- (2) Solve for C. Find R from equation (1) and substitute in equation (2) The new (or revised) cost to the residents will be: C + 3.

OpenStudy (ranga):

RC = 1200000 ---- (1) Divide both sides by C R = 1200000/C Put that in (2): (C+3)(R-225) = 1200000 ------ (2) (C+3)(1200000/C - 225) = 1200000 Solve for C

you are welcome. Happy Thanksgiving!
