With your knowledge of incomplete dominance, could you tell me the genotypes of each color? If R represents a red gene and B represents a blue gene what would the genotypes for red, blue and purple be? Please let me know Thank you

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

umm...incomplete dominance is not about 2 genes actually..its about alleles..for eg R gives red colour r gives white so heterozygous genotype Rr would give a mixture of red and white thats pink...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought that it can be like this Red = RR Blue = BB Purple = RB

OpenStudy (muneefa):

there are three genotypes. AA and BB is homozygotes and AB is heterozygotes.

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

i m damn sure its not about 2 genes...plus u cannot write RB as heterozygous..because R represents 1 gene and B other...
