Interpret what it means to have g(-2)

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

g(x) is a function so g(-2) is a point in that function (-2,y)

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

g(x) is just another way of writing y

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

but it is more useful because you can talk about multiple functions without getting confused and you can also talk about specific points in a function just by giving the variable x a designation
