1 Patrick Henry was born May 29, 1736. He grew up in Virginia. Patrick was the son of John and Sarah Winston Henry. Patrick’s father gave him a good education. Patrick married Sarah Shelton when he was only eighteen years old. Patrick needed to find a good job to help him support a wife, so he decided to become a lawyer.
