How to plot a graph of a FUNCTION?

OpenStudy (only4u):

depends upon the type of function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What kind of function is it? Usually you'll need to find the y-intercept and x-intercepts first. Then plot any other important points for example turning points and points of infection.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

another thing to add is that f(x)=y values (x)=x values

I'd suggest that gikian identify several functions he/she would like to graph, as that'd give helpers a much more concrete starting point. Secondly, determine whether or not gikian is familiar with applications of calculus to graphing. Graphs can be drawn with or without calculus (but using calculus surely saves a lot of time and provides much more info regarding the behavior of the function being graphed).
