\(\bf 5+4\cdot x=32+x^2\implies 5+4x=32+x^2\implies 0=x^2-4x+27\)
factor it like any other quadratic, I don't see it factoring nicely though, so you'd end up using the quadratic formula I'd think \(\bf \text{quadratic formula}\\
x= \cfrac{ - b \pm \sqrt { b^2 -4ac}}{2a}\)
