OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which value for x makes the open sentence true? 5 + 4 • x = 32 + x2 A. 2 B. 3 C. 4 D. 5

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

looks like a quadratic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg do yall know any of this stuff or wat???????/

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\bf 5+4\cdot x=32+x^2\implies 5+4x=32+x^2\implies 0=x^2-4x+27\) factor it like any other quadratic, I don't see it factoring nicely though, so you'd end up using the quadratic formula I'd think \(\bf \text{quadratic formula}\\ x= \cfrac{ - b \pm \sqrt { b^2 -4ac}}{2a}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i will just go to another assiment so u can help me ok
