Okay so take the derivative of -x^2+8x which is -2x+8 now set it equal to zero because the maximum is where the slope equals 0 So -2x+8=0 so x= 4 is where the maximum is When x = 4 then the y coordinate equals 16 So. The maximum is (4,16)
