The system shown has _____ solution(s). y = 1/2 x + 1 2y - x = 2 no one infinite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you solve this system?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would suggest multiplying the 1st equation times 2 and thinking.

OpenStudy (amigatour):

You plug the y value into the given equation 2y-x = 2 then figure out if it's infinite, one, or no.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 1/2 x + 1 ----> times 2 -----> 2y =x + 2 ---> subtract x from both sides, 2y-x=2 and the second equation is the same 2y - x = 2 which one is it?

Glad I helped you.
