factor polynomial completely 162y ^4- 32z ^4

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

Do they want us to completely break it apart?

factor completely

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

Since they both don't have alike variables, we may only take out values, in this case, 2. \[2(81y^4-16z^4)\] Now, we can't take out anything else from both of them, but we can from themselves: \[2((9y^2)(9y^2)-(4z^2)(4z^2))\] We may further simplify:\[2((3y*3y*3y*3y)-(2z*2z*2z*2z))\] I hope this helped, feel free to pst me if you need further help, or if I was COMPLETLY wrong haha.

thank you
