Could someone explain why synthesized soap and detergent have different reactions when they are mixed with calcium chloride in separate test tubes ?

I am second guessing my lab results A)What should happen when you add synthesized soap to a test tube with 2 ml of deionized water? The length of the test tube and the bubbles was 2.5 cm B)What should happen after calcium chloride is added to the water? The length with Ca/Mg was 4.9 cm C)What should happen if you add detergent instead of the synthesized soap? The length of the test tube and the bubbles was 2.9 cm D)After adding Ca/Mg measured 5.3 cm
