each equation represents a curve/set of \(\mathbb R^2\). first one is the equation of ...? second one is the equation of a line. In how many points at most can a line intersect a ... ?

Are there 4 solutions? Using this graph I see 4 different coordinates but it only intercepts the oval twice :o

It's 2. The system tells you to look only at the ellipse and the line. Not the axis. The other two points are for decoration..
