to find f(g(x)), replace the x in f with g(x). if f(x)=1/x, and g(x)=x-3, f(g(x))=f(x-3)=1/g(x)=1/(x-3) thus f(x-3)+6=1/(x-3)+6

similarly, for the second part, f(x+1)=1/(x+1), and f(x-6)=1/(x-6). thus -4f(x+1)+f(x-6)/3 = -4/(x+1)+1/(3*(x-6))
