can we change the electronegetivity of a organic compound by just mixing it with any metal ion so that the metal will transfer its electron to the complex and makes change in its electronegetivity.....????/

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

yaaaa this what you find it in metal carbonyls and metal complexes :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can anyone tell me the metal which will make electon transfer without making any reactions to form any complexes...

OpenStudy (aaronq):

are you talking about a catalyst? the same metal complex (i.e. catalyst) won't work for all reactions

OpenStudy (abb0t):

This is difficult to propose for organic compounds. But I know of a few for inorganic species, that canges their oxidation states only.
