Find the area of the triangle with the given vertices: 1.) A(1,5) B(4,6) C(7,3)

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Good old coordinate geometry... so the area formula for a triangle when given coordinates is \[\huge \frac{A_x(B_y - C_y) + B_x(C_y-A_y) + C_x(A_y - B_y)}{2}\] You have your points... A = (1 , 5) B = (4 , 6) C = (7 , 3) Just plug all of these in and solve :)
