determine the x-intercept and y-intercept for g(x)=(x^2-16)/(3x^2-x-10)

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

y-intercept happens when x = 0....so replace all the 'x's in your equation with 0 and see what that equals... x-intercept happens when y = 0...so set this whole function = to 0...and solve for 'x'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i give the answer in the point form like (x,y).

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

okay well y-intercept like I said would be when x = 0...so (x,y) x is 0 so (0,y) just when you solve for 'y' you plug that in there...
