What is term used to describe people who were unable to find work because they had been accused of Communist sympathies?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

People in that situation were referred to as being "blacklisted". It's a term still being used today, usually meaning that someone is being denied for whatever reason besides Communist sympathies.
