please anyone?
OpenStudy (solomonzelman):
Hard question.
Usually if you are looking at the graph it will intersect b times if you have
f(x)=x^b.......
IDK

@stardogchampion are you helping me?

@BulletWithButterflyWings can you help me?
OpenStudy (schrodingers_cat):
Remember an even function such as x^2
is defined as f(-a) =f(a)
whereas an odd function such as x^3
is defined as f(-a) =-f(a)
Hope this helps :)

I think if it's an even power it will be symmetric on an axis.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
How do you know that please cna you explain it to me? @wolfe8
OpenStudy (wolfe8):
Well, as @Schrodingers_Cat said: when the power is even, if you put in a negative value you will get the same answer as if you put in a positive value. So you will have a 2 values of x(one positive, one negative) going up to one value of y. That will result in a graph that has symmetry. I hope that helps. I have to go get lunch now. Good luck.
