How does the growth of the worlds population compare with it's growth 100 years ago? Explain why the changes have taken place.

The world population is currently growing exponentially. The changes may be due to better healthcare that we receive today as compare to 100 years ago. Low mortality rate when women are in labour and the old folks can live up to 80 years or more.
