1. Mining
Environmental cost (EC): Habitat loss, Acidification of land near mining site.
Benefits: Power up the economy in the area.
2. Deforestation for Agriculture
EC: Habitat loss, Loss of water catchment area.
Benefit: Continuous supply of food for our consumption.
3. Manufacturing industries
EC: Increase production of CO2 from factories that will eventually lead up to global warming.
Benefit: Provide job opportunities to communities around the industrials area.
