Because the focus is on the y-axis (i. e., at (0, 1) AND the directrix is perpendicular to the y-axis, I'd conclude that this parabola opens UP (away from the directrix). I'd use the general equation 4py = x^2, where p is the distance from vertex to focus AND the distance from vertex to directrix. What value do you think p has?
