the US was rich with sources and materials (after invading the native americans,english people discovered good materials in return) but there was no need for the Philippine war. Imperialism is often criticized as greedy if one agrees with it. US had good raw material, why expanding its land more? that's called greedy
that's what has been a criticism on imperialism and due to that, anti-imperialism was created
