@hartnn ??

hartnn (hartnn):

when 'a' is a root, x-a is a factor so when -1+4i is a root, (x+1-4i) will be a factor so when -1-4i is a root, (x+1+4i) will be a factor so your quadratic equation will be (x+1-4i) (x+1+4i) =0 you just need to bring this in the form of ax^2+bx+c =0 by foiling
