A brief summary and the theme for "A Sound of Thunder"? Help?

It's a short story by sci-fi legend, Ray Bradbury, published decades ago. It's also a (not very good) movie adaptation.

Basically, it's about how one tiny change in the distant past can create a very different result in the present.

In the story, the change made was accidentally stepping on a butterfly millions of years in the past. In the present, that resulted in a future that had changed in subtle ways affecting the language to who won the presidential election.
