IQ scores are scored relative to each other so the avg score to determined to be the mean, this is set at 100. For a bell curve this is the middle and where the highest frequency of scores occur. So the higher your score is compared to the avg score the farther to the right on bell curve will your score be, coincidentally this also means there are lower frequency of scores that match yours.
