Four more than twice a number is seven more than the number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x+4=x+7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4=-x+7

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Let the number be 'num'; 4 more than twice 'num' = 7 more than 'num' 4 + 2*num = 7 + num Now solve like a usual simple equation, 2*num - num = 7 - 4 num = 3 Thus 4 more than twice of 3 = 7 more than 3. WHICH IS CORRECT!! :D Understood? :)
