A farmer plants soybeans and corn on his 720 acres of land. He plants three times as many acres with soybeans as with corn. How many acres are planted with corn?

Two equations. Soybean (S) + Corn (C) = 720 S= 3C Substitute 3C for S in first equation and solve for C
