A forecaster is accurate about the weather 85% of the time when the weather is predicted. What is the probability that they will make a correct prediction 3 days in a row? To the nearest percent.

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

You can use the product rule: Accurate prediction for : 1 day -> P(accurate day 1)=0.85 2 days-> P(accurate day 1 AND accurate day 2)=P(acc. day 1)*P(acc. day 2)=0.85^2 3 days-> Same logic but over 3 days in a row -> 0.85^3

Duh! I couldn't remember. Lol. Thank you!! 61%
