what bond will a metal cation form? Covalent of ironic?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The bond of a metal ANION will form covalent of ironic. The bond of metal CATION will form covalent of IONIC. The ionic bonds are actually reversed polarity of the anionic bonds. Hope this helped!
