So, in a situation like that, where a straight angle is broken up by a tangent, both are set equal to 180, the sum of the supplementary angles. 

So...

180 = 13x + 5 + 8x + 7
180 = 21x + 12
                   -12
______________________
168 = 21x
_________
       21
X = 8 degrees :)

I'll be on all night, so fire away :) I do have skype... On the sort of shared desktop, but as I'm in my room on my iPad to do my homework... And the household being in bed... :/  Skype is, from my end, not possible. Sorry!
