Since the y-intercept is (0,0), we know that b MUST be 0; \[y=mx+b \rightarrow 0=m(0)+(b) \rightarrow 0=b\] The function is positive b/c its going up, and for every x=2, the graph goes up 1; rise/run; rose up 1/ran across 2(twice)...1/2...\[y=mx+b \rightarrow y=1/2x+0\rightarrow y=1/2x\]
