@Snowfire how does the pressure at which thermonuclear fusion occurs affect the temperature required?

The idea is to get many highly energetic collisions. The temperature controls the mean velocity; the pressure controls the density, which puts more or fewer atoms near each other. Higher pressure speeds reaction at given temperature. Higher temperature speeds reaction at given pressure.
