Solve. –4t ≤ 48

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Isolate T. Divide both sides by -4 -4t/-4 < 48/-4

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

Remember when you divide by a negative you flip the signs.

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

-4t <= 48 -t <= 48/4 -t <= 12 Now when we multiply an inequality with -1, we REVERSE THE INEQUALITY SIGN. -t * -1 >= -12 t >= -12 Understood? :)

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

@AkashdeepDeb T wasn't negative, 4 was. when you divided you canceled out -4

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

It does not really matter @tHe_FiZiCx99 It is the same if you take the constants separately or together. It is for better explanation.

OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):

@AkashdeepDeb I guess that works, but it makes it more simple. :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it's t ≥ –12
