the hint is very helpful and solves half the question(i mean thinking part) break the figure into two boxes. so you may get a box with length W, height V and width X and the another box with height Z, length Y-V and width X then just appply the formula for the volume of a cuboid=lengthx breadthx height for both the boxes independantly and then add the outcomes so you may get the answer as 40+36=76cm^3 i.e. option no. 3
