If a person can run 10 km in 2 hours, what is the person's speed? Include your work with your answer.
distance= rate(time) you're solving for rate, plug in what else you know 10=rate(2) divide by 2 rate=5 km/h
distance = rate*time plug in values from the problem 10km = rate* 2 hrs 10km / 2 hrs= rate*(2hrs)/2hrs 10km / 2 hrs= rate 5km/hr= rate rate and speed are same thing
