HELP ON THIS QUESTION PLZ!! I DON'T WANT THE ANSWER I JUST WANNA KNOW THE STEPS TO DO THE PROBLEM!!! The scale on mark's map is 0.5 inch represents 8 miles. The route from Mark's house to his friend's house is 3.25 inches on his map. What is the actual distance of Mark's route? A. 11.75 miles B. 13.00 miles C. 20.31 miles D. 52.00 miles

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

How many half inches are in 3.25? ie what is 3.25/0.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 6.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if 0.5 inches represent 8 miles, ask yourself how many miles can be represented by one inch. So how many miles/inch? After you have the number of miles/per inch, multiply that by 3.25 to get the distance in miles!

ts 6.5 yep, now each of those half inches is 8 miles, so multiply the two.
